Privacy Policy

Who we are

Larkpin is a local SEO, web design and AI automation agency for US local businesses. This policy explains what information we collect through larkpin.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the messages we send you after you contact us. It does not cover the websites or systems we build for our clients, which follow those clients' own privacy policies.

What information we collect

We collect two kinds of information: what you give us, and what your browser sends automatically.

Information you give us. When you request the Free Missed-Lead Audit or contact us, our form asks for:

  • your name
  • your business name
  • your website
  • your industry
  • your city
  • your email address
  • your phone number (optional)
  • a message about your biggest problem right now (optional)

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our analytics provider collect standard technical data. That includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site (for example, from a search or a link with tracking tags), and the time and length of your visit.

We do not ask for payment details, Social Security numbers, health information or other sensitive personal information on this website. Please do not include them in the message field.

How we use your information

We use your information to deliver what you asked for and to run the website. Specifically, we use it to:

  • prepare and send your Free Missed-Lead Audit, which may include calling and texting your business number after hours to test how calls are answered
  • reply to your questions and follow up about the audit
  • send you messages you have agreed to receive
  • understand which pages are useful and fix what is not working
  • protect the site and our form from spam, fraud and abuse
  • meet our legal obligations

Cookies and Google Analytics

This website uses cookies, including analytics cookies from Google Analytics. Google Analytics helps us see how visitors use the site, such as which pages they read and where they came from. Google processes that data under its own terms and privacy policy.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, block or delete them, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works without analytics cookies. We do not use the information from Google Analytics to identify you personally.

Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we may text you about your audit, your inquiry and, if you opt in, related updates from Larkpin. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying anything from us.

Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Message frequency varies.

You can also reply HELP for help. After you reply STOP, we will send one message confirming you have opted out and no further texts unless you opt in again.

Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share them only with the service providers that deliver our text messages, and only so they can send them.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in these cases:

  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting, form handling and spam protection, email and text delivery, our customer relationship management system and analytics. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal reasons, when we believe disclosure is required by law, a court order or a government request, or is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Larkpin, our clients or others.
  • A business transfer, such as a merger or sale of the business, in which case the information would stay covered by protections at least as strong as this policy.

How long we keep your information

We keep form submissions and related messages for as long as we need them to respond to you, deliver the audit and maintain a record of our conversations, and then for as long as the law requires. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we have a legal reason to keep it. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in our Google Analytics account.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this site and limited access to submitted information. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Your privacy rights in California

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you these rights:

  • Right to know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we shared it with.
  • Right to delete the personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the law.
  • Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information through this site.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.

To make a request, contact us through the form at /contact/ and tell us which right you want to use. We will need to verify your identity, usually by matching the email address or phone number you gave us. You may use an authorized agent, who must show written permission to act for you. We will respond within the time the law requires, normally 45 days.

Residents of other states with consumer privacy laws may have similar rights. We will honor those requests in the same way.

Children's privacy

This website is meant for business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

This site links to other websites, such as Google and the sites of companies we mention. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information. Please read their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on the site.
